How-To Find Garage, Yard and Estate Sales

by Lovely on August 5, 2009

yard saleIt’s no secret that vintique dealers find inventory for their booths at yard, estate and garage sales.

It’s also no secret that subscribing to the daily paper just to get those sales listings is, at least in my area, expensive.  Yes, I could wait til Friday morning, go get a paper and head out, but I prefer setting up a route the night before.

Craigs List is good.  Although, there’s a ton of junk posts to shift through. I wish they’d expand the sections so one can narrow in on specific interests.

Or perhaps some web guru could come up with Garage Sales, Yard & Estate Sales.

Another option is: http://gsalr.com/.  compiles all the sales in the area and you can add others to your itinerary that you find elsewhere.  I’ve used it a few times.  And it works pretty well.

Laura, thank you. That is the site my link above was SUPPOSED to go to. :)

What a fabulous tool it is.

Let’s get Craigslist to have a separate listing for estate sales instead of lumping them under garage sales. Also, powerful policing of the word “antique”!
