I‘m compiling a list of Indie markets and fairs.  Please leave a comment here or email your favorite fairs and markets.  Leave as many details as you can.

  • Location.
  • Days and/or dates.
  • What makes it a good market for selling.
  • What makes it a good market for buying.

Links to sites and photos would be great as would a contact attached to the market.

  2. Firefly Handmade08-22-2011

Firefly Handmade is a curated series of seasonal artisan markets, bringing together local handmakers telling the story of Boulder, while stimulating the local economy encouraging a greener buyer. We are about handmade, all things hand-crafted, honoring heritage and getting back to the heart of our roots. Firefly is still a fledgling enterprise, but with a lot of moxie. In fact, formed in October of 2010, the original vision was a true gypsy farm market. With two markets under our crafty belts we are poised to finally bring the al fresco autumn market to life.

One part european ?ea, one part farm stand and 100% traveling indie craft carnivale. We are not about perfect, mass production or sameness – our own version of wabi-sabi1. This event will take place on a temporary homestead with just the right ?t, a place set-up for welcome but not too structured. We want the market to appear to have simply landed there for a weekend – and then as quickly as we’re there we’ll be gone, leaving no trace, except the positive experience in the memories of our visitors, who will be wondering where our market might pop- up next. We will be careful stewards of the property we inhabit for our short event, keeping our footprint small.
